1. Be it enacted by the Members of the McG Model Congress 2. of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 3. Section 1. Title
4. HELP! Relief through Cathartic Action 5. Section 2. Purposes
6. Attempt to provide stability in the lives of young Americans.
7. Put an end to the augmentation of homicide and crime amongst youth.
8. Add a mandatory class in public schools.
9. This class will provide security and opportunities for young Americans to learn
10.alternative ways to handle problems rather than using violence and/or self-mutilation or substance abuse.
11. The class will also be used as an “open ear” for students to speak out about
12. problems at home, whether it be physical or mental abuse and seek help.
13. Section 3. Eligibility
14. Public high school students
15. Nation wide
16. Must be legal, tax-paying residents.
17. Section 4: Terms and Benefits
18. Students from 9-12th grade (high school) will be required to take at least four
19. semesters of this course throughout high school.
20. The course will be no less than 2 hours per week, depending on the schools
21. curriculum.
22. At least 3 neighborhood projects must be completed and recognized by an adult in
23. the course of the class completion.
24. Funding for this course will come from added taxes to families earning a total
25. income of more than $150,000 per year with less than 3 members in the
